Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative including celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.
The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, separate from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might appear mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the group has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the urban setting:
- The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, desires retribution.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous environment.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the party access locations they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in search of Casimir.
What’s Next?
Based on the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners parties.
Fans can anticipate finding out which adventurers will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
